Jonathan was born and raised in New York City, and lived there for 37 years before moving to Olean, NY. He worked in New York City as a personal fitness trainer for many years.
For all of his adult years living in New York City, Jonathan rented apartments in both Manhattan and Queens. During those several decades living as a tenant in apartment rentals, Jonathan gained a lot of experience in apartment living – dealing with neighbors; lease paperwork; maintenance-related issues; and much more.
As a lifelong tenant, Jonathan had no choice but to get wise in the huge and expensive rental market of “the big city”. Over time, he developed an instinct for finding good, quality rental deals that offered the greatest bang for his buck. Finding good value in the New York City rental market was a challenge, but…there were always deals to be found, if you knew where and how to look!
In August 2012, Jonathan moved with his wife to lovely Olean, NY, in order to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and raise a family, while still being a car ride away from New York City, where some of his family still lives. Upon arriving in Olean, Jonathan bought his first house – a modest fixer-upper – and spent the next few months renovating the house, in order to understand how the different parts of the house worked.
At the same time, in August 2012, Jonathan purchased his first rental apartment property in Olean, a 4-apartment house. This was the first of a series of Olean apartment rental property purchases he made over the coming years, growing his business to several dozen rental apartments by start of 2018.
During the past nearly seven years, Jonathan has worked diligently and faithfully to establish and grow a superior apartment rental business with Best Value Olean Apartments. In this time period, Jonathan has greatly developed his understanding of apartment rentals and tenant needs, as well as assembled a reliable and responsible staff of highly-skilled professionals.
